It was on this tour we discovered a true city-secret — the unique aviation-themed China Clipper lounge tucked away on the 30th floor.
The lounge is named after Pan Am’s first flying boat, the “China Clipper” that flew its initial commercial flight from San Francisco to Manila in the Philippines.

The Peninsula’s China Clipper pays unique tribute to the early aviation pioneers whose spirit of adventure and romance forged the way for commercial flights between Asia and North America
The space is designed in the art-deco fashion of old flying boats, parked directly atop the hotel, accessed only by a discrete elevator, directly under one of the three only helipads in the city.
The China Clipper features fascinating photographs and rare memorabilia that evoke the glamour that once was aviation. And the views…. the lounge offers a rather smashing view of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.
Access to the lounge is for guests utilizing the hotel’s helicopter service, which includes a breath-taking tour of Hong Kong, lunch and a fabulous massage.
Next time you visit the city of endless adventures, we highly suggest booking a helicopter flight over Fragrant Harbour — we’ve already booked ours. J&C
Overlooking Victoria Harbor, the Peninsula Hotel is a regal, iconic hotel, built in 1928.
