No other bar in Europe (perhaps makes the top 10 in the world) has a richer history than Harry’s Bar in Venice.
One day (in 1935, I think) our waiters served lunch simultaneously to King Alfonso XIII of Spain, Queen Wilhelmina of Holland, King Paul of Greece and King Peter of Yugoslavia. G. Cipriani
Harry’s has served drinks to Kings and to Hemingway and everyone in between.
It is a true bar, one you must visit, although be fully aware the jolly hordes await. Enjoy a cocktail at Harry’s — please don’t order the ‘famous’ Bellini. J+
